Excellent article on the need to be humane in our work on a regular basis. It does not take much no matter what profession or career you are in. A simple ‘thank you’ is a good start.

To me it should be humanizing the work force and not just humanizing the ICU. Think beyond yourself and think ‘how do I want someone to speak to me, to teach me, to help me?’ and then do the same for others. Treat others as you would treat yourself. I believe you get back what you give……
