Self-Care Needed

Sometimes we have to take a hiatus to rejuvenate and to give the mind and body a rest from the usual.

It is important to focus on family, friends, other interests, the summer-like weather which is finally here and caring for ourselves. Self-Care is important!

Spending time in nature, exercise whether in a gym or outdoors, healthy eating, massages, facials, relaxation, and vacations whether a staycation or a vacation away from where you live is very important.

I cycle regularly, take long walks, every once in awhile splurge on a massage or facial or go to a spa for steam baths, saunas, and relaxation with the person who is the love of my life for together time, which is also important.

Montreal when I first moved here was winter and the month of July; now that I have lived here for 16 years I appreciate the change of seasons and all that Montreal has to offer.

Summer means being outdoors and enjoying all the free festivals and activities the city offers. I plan to enjoy the Jazzfest as I do every year, the food festival, cycling on the bike paths, Jean-Drapeau Park, camping, BBQing, and spending time with family and friends.

I strongly urge all to enjoy the warmer weather and to set aside time for self-care!
