Death Doulas can provide an important role for those patients/clients/individuals that do not have family members, friends or others to step in and support them/be with them.

“Everyone involved in the field agrees that interest both in hiring and training to be such a doula is growing as an aging population grapples with how to gain some control over this most uncontrollable stage of life.”

Death is a topic/subject that is evaded, ignored, and not discussed and this needs to change!
