This is a wonderful interview about a physician who truly cares, who has heart, is collaborating with other professionals for change in the healthcare system, particularly the ICU where he works.
He also happens to be one of the physicians who I am collaborating with on this blog-NorthernMSW.
We need more healthcare professionals whether physician, nurse, social worker, occupational therapist, physical therapist, orderlies, home care workers…… to advocate for change and to collaborate with others.
A special thank you to Elena Lorente Guerrero for doing the interview and allowing me to re-blog it.
The more that professionals around the world collaborate, share, and interact with one another, the more chance of change happening! It starts with one…….the end result is for services to be better for the patient/client and for a professional to feel supported, to have good supervision, and regular training to update their skills.
Interviewed by Elena Lorente Guerrero.
- My special thanks to my dear friend and writer Karen Messruther who with kindness and love has read and has corrected the translation of the interview from Spanish into English.
